games these days

Almost every game dev team right now

Almost every game critic right now on almost all games releasing:

- i think we needa accept like 90% of all games ever made, are often buggy, not necessary messes, but there are shit tonnes of "legendary" games that are deep down probably really bad in areas. some games ARE bad, like 76 (as a fanboy thats really hard to say too), or even worse metal gear survive...eugh. I think popular voices and names hold too much sway on whether a game is "good" or "bad".

whats an example of a "bad" game you love?

Games used to be released without needing 100Gb updates a week after release. Battlefront 2 got no updates.

@SW-User yeah but at the same time, often a game with big issues, just stayed as a game with big issues
SW-User
@HeWhoLaughs but they were far less common

@SW-User are you sure? kotor 1 and 2 have always been amazing games with huge issues in areas, i dont know them all but ive heard many people mention them. basically any Bethesda game , i love Bethesda, but ffs , morrowind onwards, bug central, same with bioware at times, even tomb raider 1 onwards was full of glitches and wonky systems
SW-User
@HeWhoLaughs never played those games so i cant say

@SW-User what im saying is , almost all old games, especially old 3d games, they were nearly always wonky, clunky, and sometimes buggy, but we got over all that and usually loved them

@HeWhoLaughs maybe ur right

might not be, but all im saying is, we should never pretend gaming has ever been perfect
