This has been the worst year of my life, my dad died this year, and medschool is sucking my soul and I currently hate it.

@MissMollyCharlotte0702 My dad always had heart issues, but he wasn’t “terminal” or anything like that. He was fine more or else. I did not expect it to happen at all, no one did. I’m sorry for your loss, i’m sure it hurts everyday, time doesn’t make everything better, I hope your dad is in a better place. I’m sure people gave you an ultimatum on grief, right? Idk all aspects of this suck. My dad died on January 2nd.

My dad had heart issues and we thought his heart would be what would take him. He suffered a brain aneurysm so we were very shocked.
An ultimatum on grief? How are people giving you an ultimatum on your grief? It’s your grief and you can grieve any way you need to.I might suggest counselling...someone that can help you through this.@offingg

That friend is no friend. No friend would ever say this to you ever!!!! To lose your dad and deal with your brother being diagnosed with cancer is traumatic. I could not have her in my life and I’d tell her exactly that. I’ve lost many relatives over the last few years and it’s hard to function when everything has been kicked out from under you.
You failed a subject not because you didn’t care, but because you just couldn’t do it. @offingg
