Wood knife block... I made mine so the knives rest at about a 60-degree angle, resting on their spine.

@Queendragonfly I can, but pardon the clutter - just got back from a grocery run 😁
Right behind it on the left is a small cutting board I made for quick little cutting and slicing jobs. Its big brother hides under the counter. All are made of Walnut and/or Maple and I use a butcher block oil to keep the wood from drying out.
I made this knife block narrow and shallow, so it doesn't take up a lot of room on the countertop.

If you weren't in the US I would have requested you made a board to me too 😂 no we are still deciding what type of knife holder we want. There's so many styles.

@Queendragonfly Yeah, I looked at so many myself, but they were all bigger than I wanted. Ended up just making it myself.
