God is speaking to us today about our future, and how to plan for it. We really need to listen to Him.
You can take heart, knowing that even if things look out of control, God has plans for your welfare. Plans to bless you, and your future:
"For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you...plans to give you a hope and a future. '” — Jeremiah 29:11
While it is true that no one knows the day nor hour the Lord will come, the Lord did tell us in His Word, which signs to look for on the earth and in the heavens, which tell us of the approaching end times. If we'll prepare, our outcome will be that of hope, not despair. Here are some Biblical scriptures which tells us Jesus' return could be sooner than we think:
The apostle Paul warned that the coming last days would bring a marked increase in false teachers and teachings. “The Spirit clearly says that in later times, some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons” (1 Timothy 4:1). We're seeing more people turning away from Christ, than to Him, these days. The last days are described as “perilous times” because of the increasingly evil character of man and people who actively “oppose the truth” (2 Timothy 3:1–9; also 2 Thessalonians 2:3).
Other signs of the end times would include the rebuilding of the Jewish temple in Jerusalem, spoken of in the Bible, as we see increased hostility toward Israel and advances toward a one-world government. The Book of Revelation confirms that this will lead up to the Battle of Armageddon.
Other signs are also included in Matthew, 1st and 2nd Thessalonians, Ezekiel and Daniel, etc.. God has given us enough information, so that we can prepare. He did send us signs. I have never in my life seen such false teachings popping up all over, along with many following demonic beliefs, and definitely the increasing evil character of some people...so many opposing Christ's truths in His Word. We're definitely headed towards a One World Government, which is another sign from the Bible that the end times are fast approaching. Of course those who don't want to see these signs, will dismiss them and explain them away as coincidental or "old signs" etc., but God didn't leave us to guess about these things, and their increase is strikingly obvious.
There are many things happening in the Middle East, involving Israel, that will change the course of history in the Middle East and impact the whole world. All these signs, coming together at one time like never before, may potentially be the culminating signals that God is closing this chapter of human history. According to bible prophecy, especially Daniel's prophecies, we can follow to the Great Tribulation period, mentioned in the Bible. God always gives signs to His people, and the rest of the world, before He intervenes. What better way to communicate with us, than through the universal language of heavenly signs, that speak to every tribe, tongue, and nation? Remember when the star led the wise men to Jesus?
The prophet Joel, spoke of God's signaling to us the nearing of the end times, by signs in the heavens, Joel 2:30-31. We have seen the blood moons, which are said to be an indication that great changes are about to take place. The blood moons are spoken of in the Bible. Rev. 6:11-13
“God said, ‘Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years.’” (Genesis 1:14)
The Bible indicates that the sun, moon, and stars do far more, than mark physical time; they can reveal what is scheduled to take place on God’s calendar.
Joel 2:30–31 saying: “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day comes.”
Never have we seen such devastating effects in nature such as huge and significantly increased "earthquakes in diverse/unusual places", as spoken of in Bible prophecy. Never before have we seen the great intensity of earthquakes, tsunamis, and tornadoes, like we see today.
Matthew 24:7- "For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in diverse places."
This includes the melting of icebergs, and our animal and sea life dying off. God is speaking to us. Jesus is the only hope we can cling to, our only safe place, as we prepare for our future... as without Him, there is no future. Jesus wants us to come to Him now, so that He can save us from the condemnation sin placed on us and this earth; the very reason this earth is dying. What we are experiencing now, tells us why we need Jesus. He wants nothing but to rescue us, if we will let him.
I Know Who Holds Tomorrow
I don't know about tomorrow;

For I know what Jesus said.

For He knows what lies ahead.
Many things about tomorrow

Every burden's getting lighter,
Every cloud is silver-lined.
There the sun is always shining,
There no tear will dim the eye;
At the ending of the rainbow
Where the mountains touch the sky.
I don't know about tomorrow;
It may bring me poverty.
But the one who feeds the sparrow,
Is the one who stands by me.
And the path that is my portion
May be through the flame or flood;
But His presence goes before me
And I'm covered with His blood.
