Have you ever had a friend who starts clinging to you as soon as the time to part ways gets closer?

I mean she's a good friend whose kept me company but she's acting like she's afraid she's gonna lose me or something, buying me gifts and offering to take me out and stuff. I only wanna keep in touch with her as long as I need to though.
