It needn't be immediate - in fact it probably shouldn't be immediate. But some time in the not so distant future, take time to thank them in a brief note. It would mean a lot to someone brave enough to tell you're making a mistake.

@hlpflwthat: I plan to :) I've actually outright said to all of them that I've pretty much cried over how lucky I am to have them as friends (not to sound overly dramatic). I think it's more the shock that someone actually cares more than you realise :3
