Always around for friends. That's important.
Had a lovely night over mine with a bunch of friends - Felicity, Mai and Amber - for a meal, few beers/wine and watching a movie.
Great night an' all. Had a hangover next day, so must have been!
Anyways, get a message from Mai the day after. Seems she's been took into hospital with a ruptured appendix. No previous indications that she had any issues.
Luckily they got to her in time.
Anyways, my girl messaged and I asked if she needed anything. Dragged out of her, 'cos people don't like to 'bother' you - Mai's one of those people, that she'd like some of her fav Chai tea, so I was running across town to get some for her.
The look on her face...like..'Ah...no more NHS tea!'...priceless!
She appreciated it.
The least I could do. That's what friends do.
Anyways, she's doing good. The NHS are doing a wonderful job, giving her the best care.
