Soon to be rid of social media.
I'm moving to a new location, been scoping it out. First thing I scoped out was the church and I found one that looks to be one I'll agree with. Then of course there's quite a few eateries which obviously will be patronized but only about every 3 weeks or so due to their cost and limited budget.
The next thing was a bookstore. Yes, you can get free books online, but not all books. Plus some are out of print, but copies remain. Why argue, rage and insult others (even if deserved) when you can have a calm time reading with various teas?
I may subscribe to the local newspaper, but it's only online. I do miss ruffling through paper, looking for the coupons, ads and chucking the sports. The living section was always good, comics also even though then I was 35. Plus worldwide news.
The only thing I'll have to dose up on medication as to solidify my feces. Nothing worse then being on a bus and have to do a major dump, which at my age, usually isn't solid.
Imagine getting up in the morning and instead of running seeing what you got for responses on social media I'll more or less taken care of morning prayers, bathroom duties shower, shaving & breakfast and wondering what's in the news instead of what other people are thinking. All in a calm, reasonable manner
Plus, not getting upset at someone whose opinion is outrageously ignorant. Imagine how few idiots you'll have to deal with. I still plan to be connected to social media after all, ordering through Amazon checking my bank account, prescriptions and downloading ebooks.
But avoiding areas where people congregate for religious, political, social or financial discussion, which always ends up with arguments, insults and regret for even wasting time there. I shall be free, free to explore the better parts of life.
