My boss recommend that I socialize more with customers.

I do my job. I just feel like I don’t get paid enough to be their fake friend. I’m polite and I do what I have to do. That should be enough for minimum wage.

I’ll add this to my list of reasons to leave retail.

Pay me more to pretend to care about these people.

Saying “hello” and “have a good day” should be enough 😭
