What a virtual hug means to me
It means that I care, and wish to convey some bit of solace to whomever, where a real life hug would be potentially seen as crossing a boundary. Online I hug more than I would in real life if I had the kinds of people here to populate it.
You are, the ones I know of, are so special to me, I almost beat myself up for not being able to say things better.
It is also a matter of paranoid concern that my affection for others will seem creepy, that is why I make a big deal of books, music and film, it creates a safe distance, because people have been hurt when less than salient beings get too close.
I am not the kind you get too close with, this is a safety precaution, mostly barring both sides from annoyances.
I wish only to peacefully co-exist with others from an unreachable distance, sending love and support to whomever I feel is deserving.
The rest is in God's hands as a believer would say, in my words it's more like from a hope in our hearts we make paths in our lives which lead to wonder and fulfillment.
