I Believe That Internet Friends Are Real
I recently went to meet up of people who I'd only previously known online. It was one of the best things I've ever done. I've never really had a sense of community among my friends; I've had more individual friendships amongst a group. But in this recent meet up, 10-20 of us rented an airbnb in LA and people came from as far as Canada and the East Coast. It actually felt like a communal gathering.
It was amazing!! I'd like to do this again and find a new community. One of my best friends in Britain has written a whole site devoted to meeting people with similar interests- anyone who's interested should sign up for the beta at https://typehub.net/ I'm super excited to gain more communities of friends. I used to be a part of EP, before it went to shit, but I left and now I intend to re-immerse myself in the online community here.
Anywho, I'm new here, but looking forward to getting involved. Hope to meet some more great people. Sorry that this is kind of shabbily written, I'm kinda mentally exhausted from work.
