@SilentObZerver no
Is you new school high school or college?
If it is high school and you are almost out (last grade), you can head to a local military recruiter.
If American, apply in this order:
1) Coast Guard (any position or duty station)
2) Airforce (any position or duty station)
3) Navy (any position or duty station, except Navy Seals
4) Army (regular army, NOT National Guard) (any position in a non-combat role. This means you can train as a tank mechanic, but not as calvary, and sure the fuck not as a calvary scout.
4) Marines (any non-combat arms position, any duty station.) They will say every Marine is Infantry, blah blah blah, they are not, try your best to position yourself for a non-combat role if at all possible.
If you can get a MOS in something like being a mechanic or in supply doing forklifts, or as a truck driver doing CDL, that can help you with employment once you get out.
Reason I don't recommend combat roles is because I don't know you and don't want you to get your dick shot off. If you are a very athletic guy on a sports team and think the moon is made of cheese, have at it, take a job in the infantry.
