Loss of a friend

This dawned on me today as I see people have close friends for years and after loosing mine to a freak accident it made me reflect.

Time heals all wounds they say yet it also makes the cuts in the first place. Is there someone in your life that looking back seemed perfect yet if you take that moment and come to the no longer reflects it?

Would I give anything to hang out another day, absolutely, yet would it still be the same or would we have wounded each other along the way?

I'm sorry your friend died, even if the relationship was not always comfortable.

Friendships are just as prone to conflict as marriages, and no one can ever match or fulfill our needs perfectly. What matters is how well we resolve those hiccups.

We're lucky if we have one or a few friends who can partially fulfill some of our needs some of the time. One or a few is far better than none.

I hope you meet someone closer to your current needs soon, and that the feeling is mutual.
