I Am Loyal to My Friends
In my experience, no good deed goes unpunished. I've put my neck on the line for so many friends, only to be kicked in teeth.
I'm not talking about little things, I'm talking about $20,000 loans, giving someone free rent for 4 years, finding and funding legal representation. I've given a lot, and these same people only ever call me to ask for more. Loyalty is supposed to be a two way street. But somehow it just seems to attract takers.
