My best friend is a guy

My best friend is a guy who I have known since preschool! My parents trust him but they don't trust other guys around me. Especially dad thinks that they will all want to date me or something 🙄. But yet they let me hang out with my best friend in my room with the door closed.

When I tried to bring up that they already trusted me with one guy I got told to not talk back 🙄.
