I Believe A Guy And A Girl Can Be Just Friends

I am not all together certain of this one.... I am very happily married and I have been helping a Widow of a very dear old friend of mine who passed away - he was quite a wealthy man and I like his Wife who is a much younger woman than he was but as a friend and nothing more but I do get some very strange and uncomfortable vibes that I do my best to squash as they occur but honestly these overtures are at times uncomfortable. I limit my involvement to where it does the most good for her and her family to be a good friend and be helpful to them and as much as possible I involve my Wife directly in these endeavours. The fact is she misses him terribly - we all do but no one more than she does and there is simply no replacement for his vacuum in everyone's life.

you're taking a good approach including your wife and limiting your time. however wrap up your involvement altogether as soon as possible. at this point the widow is grieving and wants comfort. so far you seem to be the one most present. she probably wouldn't think about it but her human inclination will be to gravitate to you. this happened to my dad until he had to shut the woman off completely. it's not easy, may not be nice either but you need to protect yourself, family and your happiness
