Because sometimes you have to take other people's feelings into consideration. Especially if they matter to you. You don't want to open your big claptrap and say things that would ruin what you have and drive them away from you

@rrraksamam i guess i should have included a discretion disclaimer huh?

@SW-User And what would it say?

SW-User
@rrraksamam something like:
"Of course a lot of inconsiderate people would use this idea to do suck ass things, but if you've ever...:
-bit your tongue while witnessing wrongdoing
-failed to help someone who was being victimized
-passed unfair or detrimental orders from on high down to those beneath you
-anything similar to the above
...then odds are you could make use of it to stop doing things like that ⬆️"

@SW-User Yeah, well, I've had those moments. Sometimes I feel like I'm too old and I should mind my own business. I've had a few instances where I said something and then everyone turned against me. Took a while to get the heat off my ^ss.
@rrraksamam I agree with that. If you stand up against a situation you know is messed up, you’re not going to be praised. Nor can you stop what’s happening. People act like you’re a pain in the ass or they ignore you, or at times I’ve been retaliated against. My family abandoned me for standing up to my molesting uncle. My son’s dad will never give a fuck no matter how much I ask him to be there for his kid. Hell even in traffic people will cut you off, then give you the finger.

I would think that the push back you get for standing up would be to be expected right?
I mean should we just expect no opposition when we do what's right?
If one is only good when it is convenient or when rewarded then are they even really good?

@SW-User Sure. That’s why we’re so damn strong. Resistance training for your soul.
But look what happens to people who stand up for good… look at MLKjr, even Jesus 😆
I could stand up all I want but who’s got my back? Who’s gonna look after my son when I get arrested or shot for challenging the government?

@SW-User I'm afraid the only person I'd stand up for right now is someone I love or care about. And I know it's selfish, but there's too many people in this world, and I can't stand up for all of them.
Because when the pushback comes, and it will, at least it will be for someone important and special, and not just some random person.
Think of it this way: if you were to take a bvllet, would you do it for anyone, or for someone you loved?
