I start the morning gently,
In a quiet sort of way,
Just grateful for the time,
And another beautiful day.
I sip my first cup of coffee,
As the sun lights through the door,
The birds, they sing a welcome song,
Who could ask for more?
The dew glistens upon the lawn,
The trees stand stoic and still,
Nature’s work has started,
Each blessing is a thrill.
Soft shadows stretch across the ground,
Whispers of the waking breeze,
A tranquil moment wrapped in gold,
A scene that aims to please.
So I linger in this peace,
Before I rise to start my day,
Breath by breath, I find my ground,
Wishing this moment could stay ..
