I am sorry, it really does hurt Mom when her kids don't get along or are mad at her, but she doesn't know why.
Hope you and your mom can have a happy Christmas and focus on the joy.
It is a hard Christmas for me as well, as I just became a widow this year.

Enjoy my little story

Once upon a time, in a small town, lived a woman named Human. Though she was an adult, she never lost the magic of childhood, especially around Christmas. Every year, she decorated her home with twinkling lights and hung stockings by the fireplace, just as she had done with her parents.

One snowy evening, feeling nostalgic, she decided to visit the town’s Christmas market. As she wandered among the twinkling stalls, she encountered an elderly man dressed as Santa Claus. Instead of seeing a man in a costume, Human saw the embodiment of the spirit she had cherished for so long.

“Do you still believe?” the old man asked, a twinkle in his eye.

“Of course!” Human replied, grinning.

The old man handed Human a small, beautifully wrapped gift. “Then keep believing. It keeps the magic alive.”

That night, Human opened the gift to find a simple ornament shaped like a sleigh. As she hung it on her tree, she realized that belief in Santa wasn’t just about the man in red—it was about love, hope, and the joy of giving. From that day on, she carried the spirit of Santa in her heart, sharing it with everyone around her.

And every Christmas after, she celebrated not just for herself, but for the magic that could inspire all.

What if that little guy who believed in Santa didn’t disappear....he just learned how heavy love can get when it has nowhere to land.

I think losing the magic doesn’t mean losing your heart; it means you’re carrying it awake now.

You showed up.... You reached out.... That matters, even if it wasn’t received.

The silence between sibs is painful, but the love behind it is still real...and your mom feels that love because you hold it with care.

Some things break without losing their meaning.

🫂....hang in there..

Merry Christmas.

Saw a couple such things in my broader family that were eventually resolved. Hope so for you and before too much more time is lost. Celebrate what you still can and don't give up trying.

I have many relatives in that category...they are here but we are not.

@MissBarbara You are what I call a Grammar Nazi. Relax. It's not that serious. 🤷‍♂
