Had I not gone for a run this morning, this is what I would have missed

Fighting diabetes is always a struggle. But today it was exhilarating.

I do not take tablets. Rely on a strict low gi diet and exercise.

I have diabetes. I am on Ozempic and cut out all added sugar. My A1C is down. I am trying to diet, too. Yet usually I just skip meals, rather than eat better.

I cannot jog since diabetes has made my toes numb. Also, I had a neck infection that spread to my spine and I could not walk for a while. I can walk now but not run, or even jog. So wobbly and numb.

@JoyfulSilence That's very concerning for you, I'm sure. I hope the meds and your efforts to control the sugar work for you.

@JoyfulSilence Try to eat three small ones. Walk for fifteen minutes after each of you can. That may bring the blood sugar down a bit.

@peterlee You're right. Portion size at meals is important.

I am getting better. My toes are less numb, and I am more mobile.

I am also being treated for diabetic retinopathy, which could have led to blindness. But that treatment is working, too.

I eat about one normal meal a day. I often skip lunch at work and walk around the office grounds. It has grass and trees.

@JoyfulSilence Just keep moving. But three small meals limits your blood sugar glucose.
