My Neighbor Missed a Spot

He was cutting the field, but he left a spot. I couldn't figure why until this morning. I knew nothing was there preventing him from cutting it. His tractor could easily move anything there. This morning, I saw two fawns rise up out of it, and the mother was nearby. That's their bed. 🙂

Many farmers here are using drones to identify bedded fawns. So very many are killed each year...

@Virgo79 I've seen a deer in the woods that was gashed open. I know it was probably bedded down when it happened. She probably didn't live long.

@JHNTHN lots get hit by cars here.
Some still run off after totalling a car, tough creatures.
