The Grocery Store Closes Early on Sunday
I went in this morning to pick up a few things. I was in a hurry this morning because I have more to do than I can possibly get done and was irritated at having to run after something to have with the porkchops I am cooking on the smoker tonight.
Anyway, I realized that one of my shoes was untied about halfway down the aisle and I knelt down and pulled up my pant leg to relace and tie my shoe.
A kid was standing there and said, "hey, did you know your socks don't match?"
I responed, "Yes", even though I really didn't know that I had grabbed two different socks.
The kid asked, "Why are you wearing different socks?" and I replied, "because life is too short to be searching around for matching socks."
The kid thought for a minute, smiled and said, "Short for you maybe, you're old."
I wonder if his parents will miss him?
