I have been often told to not go out of my way to help people I don't know

I definitely won't take that into consideration in my country because we help each other regardless.

But i will definitely take that into consideration here.

A long time ago my friend from the US warned me about helping people here because it backfires.

Whether online or offline, little actions and gestures say a great deal about someone's character. Be a good judge of it to identify the good people who would go out of their way to help you with no ulterior motive.

Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith.
