I Think Good Friends Are Rare

I think you should respect people's anonymity online. If a person joind this site just to vent and have fun then she/he might not want to say their real first name, state, etc. It does not even matter if the person acts nice, you still have to be cautious and you still have a right to be anonymous.

So many people don't understand just how dangerous it is to reveal information about yourself, or how uncomfortable you can make someone by 'noticing' something, or guessing something correctly that the person didn't intend to reveal. Many people seemingly take pride in this guessing game, 'look how smart I am, I figured out your hometown from a tree and a lamppost', but dude, if that person wanted this information known, they would have fucking mentioned it.
