I Have Good Friends In My Circle
I have been getting closer and closer with a Friend of a Friend of my Father.
He knew this woman Connie Back in High School and Connie happens to be a Flaming Liberal with a lot of left leaning friends and knew a girl 3 years older who was essentially a senior when they were freshmen named Audrey and Since I am so outspoken and Left leaning Audrey and me have gotten close in spite of having minor philosophical disagreements about potentially voting Green on my part. I've let everyone know republicans have about as much of a chance of taking Oregon as a snowball does in hell so Protesting Biden's nomination will not in any way effect the outcome of the election if anything Inflating the Greens numbers will be a message to Biden about how we want him to govern.
So anyways I've been learning LUA the programming language and I put up a status to my dad and her where I was like Buy me a book I can't afford right now!
And she replied PM me an address, and so I sent her my addy and she ordered me a freaking book off Amazon.
She told me she was happy to support life long learning and that she wants me to follow my passion whereever it takes me.
So I wrote back that there are THREE programs that take advantage of LUA i've run across in the last 20 years.
20 years ago CMud was known as Zmud and it was probably the premiere mud client on the internet and everyone wanted a piece. But it had triggers built in which I suppose is a term those who aren't mudders won't understand but the basic idea is if a line of text shows up it reacts to it automatically how you set it up.
Well anyways it had LUA built into it along with several other scripting languages and it was possible if you knew them to extend your interaction ith the game with an actual programming language.
That still wasn't enough to get me to bother.
And Then after that 10 years later or so I started playing WOW and when I played I got Cracked Copy of Zygor to level grind as quickly as possible.
And Zygor as well as all the WOW addons was written in LUA, everything from the auctioneer and so on.
An NOW that I'm playing FFXIV Heavily I'm discovering MMOminion and that it's addons are written in LUA.
she said that was too technical and went over her head so I broke it down even more.
I said that I play Video games and the kinds of games I play require a lot of ultra repetitive task but you can set up a Robot so that when you're Awake you can do other things and if you're careful about it and don't bot 24/7 and take a night off here and there and make sure to set up alarms for when you get tells as well as craft everything in Private Rooms like your squadron barrack or your Inn you can essentially avoid getting reported by other players and then it's ENTIRELY on the staff to find you doing what you're doing. anyway if you're careful you can run the bot Over night every so often which helps tremendously.
Waiting for the Bot to Finish Bored is how I finished so many Animes in the last year.
and Since people these days will gladly and giddily spend REAL WORLD money to BUY in game currency the more you can do things by BOT the more potential Income you can make Selling Currency.
Yet again I am Omnicrafter who can take advantage of people's willingness to shell out considerable sums of money for convenience.
Anyways After Shadowbringers launched it became evident MMOMinion does not have enough Developers and Though I am nowhere near ready to join the team I am interested in helping out in order to create a Record of my writing some kind of code, learn how things work under the hood and be capable of aiding in the effort to repair things after every patch as quickly as possible.
But she actually just bought me a Book! and all I had to do was ask! my friends are awesome! She told me to follow my passion!
I told her I'm one of the Cool kids now, I'm plotting to get paid to play video games.
