Some time away can help you refine how you really feel about a person. Especially when you are at a point in your life where you have enough experience to predict potential consequences. It helps to think twice before jumping once. Sometimes the thought of repeating history is enough to dissuade.

@Kurainia Wise words.

I am sorry it had to end. Sounds like he wanted more of the relationship, right? Don't think he is better off without you. That is something we say to get some comfort. No one knows more than the other.

I don’t mean to sound ungrateful but I didn’t want to give him false hope. @StargazingMan

@MyNewBeginning it is alright. You did well. But it is not fair to have him hanging around you as a friend only while you want someone else.

Oh, I'm sorry you felt the need to end it. It's true that other feelings would come to the fore, but it seems you both needed each other's friendship now.
Which one of you wanted more or did you just presume they did? Because i dont think its fair to just presume
MyNewBeginning · 46-50, F
He did. And we did have a little deeper relationship, but I was not ready to go any further. Not right now.@SStarfish
Fair enough @MyNewBeginning some people just "act nice" to get with people anyway.. They aren't actually even genuinely nice but.. Who knows
