I Think Good Friends Are Rare

I think having MANY good friends is rare, but having a couple or so people you can rely on in life isn't....

I have a few, all involved in 'the life', but then again all people that know me or at least understand what my life is about so they can empathise with my moods and irritations....

Good friends have got your back.....and I feel that mine do..

Truth indeed. I have two friends right now that I feel have really earned that title - I wonder at times if that relationship is what it's like to have a brother. I'm geographically separated from them at the moment, and I don't know if that relationship will fade with time and distance, but in this moment, I feel like I could trust either of them absolutely.

@RemovedUsername8862 luckily, my friends are very local. My best friend I have known half my life and we get on so well.....and, funnily enough, this other person came into my life just around a year ago and she's quickly became someone I can just trust and connect with.....

Hopefully, your friends will stat great friends, despite distances.....

@SarahTheHooker Good on you, and your friends! I frequently wonder what it's like to have known someone for your entire life - I don't know, having moved frequently throughout my life and never being good at maintaining contact.

I wish you joy with those you have, and I hope you get the opportunity to make more such fortuitous relationships!

@RemovedUsername8862 Luckily my best friend came into my life when I was 10. I think her elder sister introduced me to her as a way to have some friends in the area. Moving home and moving school, especially some 40 or so miles, would be difficult at that age.

.....and, thankfully, we both had some common ground - both quite geeky - and both felt like outsiders....so we clung to each other for support....

@SarahTheHooker And from such humble seeds lifelong relationships grow!
