I don't like looking things up until I thought it out and had an opinion to begin with.
This is one of the things I haven't thought out.
Notice that trust is one of the factors. People are too trusting of the very things they shouldn't trust at first.
Trust takes time. Notice how this applies to the first sentence.

Yep, i agree, "trust" and "time".
And prolly an attitude where you arent "looking specifically for a connection" is also important.
When we are "searching" it puts up expectations.
And expecting others to fit into wjat you "expect' is unfair.
I think have to develop a relationship with ourselves first, then one is in a good position to be at ease and let 'stuff happen' amd not get overly eager or upset when things do, or don't, happen .
Connections, (i think), need to be organic, flow .

I get off all the social media bull and go into town and enjoy myself
I think connection is deeply personal, and everyone connects differently. Sometimes we’re too quick to look at someone else’s relationship and decide what it should be, what it isn’t, or whether it’s enough, when we really have no idea what those two people think or feel when no one else is around.
I think when you have a truly close connection with someone, you just know. You don’t need to define it or prove it to anyone else. Sometimes you can’t even explain why it’s there or put it into the right words.
It just is. And maybe the only two people who really need to understand it are the two people in it.

Trust is key but it takes time to build it.

@Sapio It does and in a world of instant gratification, most don't understand or want to accept that deep connections can take years to make.

@FoxyGoddess so very true

I don't look for connections and don't want them. Emotional nihilism all the way.
