"Is the Grass Greener on the Other Side"

We've all heard the saying. But here's the Truth-The grass isn't greener on the other side, it's greener where you choose to water it. That "greener" life we imagine usually reflects something we're craving right now - excitement, stability and appreciation just to name a few. But trading places won't automatically give us those things. They come from intention, effort and cultivating what we already have. Sometimes the other side is a better fit, sometimes not. But other times the real change happens internally and not externally. If you're feeling pulled toward something "greener", pause and ask yourself. What exactly do I think I'll find there? Am I chasing something new, or running from something uncomfortable.

100% accurate. We need to ask ourselves, what can I water on this side to grow what I'm hoping for?

It can get really exhausting watering repeatedly and seeing no results. Some roots take longer to nurture though. Some orchids take 2 years to bloom. Asparagus takes years to produce anything edible. We've just got to be patient with what we have and nurture it instead of hopping around wishing for things to magically fall in our laps.
