Do you connect with people your age?

I don't at all. People my age are married, with kids and grandkids and either retired or about to retire and they have their lives together. The women have all cut their hair in pixies and wear polyester pants and eyeglasses with chains. I just have nothing to talk to them about. I've never had kids and my husband is late. I feel like I am still 25 inside and am always so shocked to see how old I am in the mirror and I just get along better with young people.

I hear you.
I work with youngsters so that helps keep my attitude to life in that space.

I've no interest in retiring 'young'; taking walking holidays nor taking the obligatory cruise around the Med. like others around my age.
