if a person never ever talks to you, how can they be a friend ?

I would think friendship indicates some kind of interaction between the two or the group?
The group's title should be ex friends who don't talk to you, maybe?

I have friends that I don't talk to for years. I still consider them friends.

That's why I think the title should be ex-friends who no longer talk to you.
