I'd Rather Have A Few Close Friends Than Many Acquaintances

As someone who didn't socialise much in school, I was glad to know a lot of people in my first couple years of college. A bunch of them were definitely acquaintances and not quite friends, but that was alright with me. This meant there was not much pressure to hang out with absolutely everyone I knew. Still, knowing all those people was a big distraction.

In the few years since then, more and more people I know have graduated and moved way. I now have only a handful of true friends left in the area. I feel just a little bit lonesome again, but that's all right. And anyways, the friend I'm living with now seems to know half the city, so I'll soon meet more people through him.
