I Miss My Best Friend

Today I had to say goodbye to my best friend. She's shipping off for basic training with the U.S. Army. I'm so proud of her, but this summer will not be the same without her by my side. We cried together, laughed together, did photo shoots together, and have been practically inseparable. If she doesn't get to come home in the 4 weeks between basic and AIT, I have no idea when I'll see her again. But I feel so blessed to have been a part of her journey, and I know that we'll always be friends. I wouldn't be who I am today without her.

Please tell her she is well prayed for and thought of by me and many of my friends. I pray for all military personel, their families and friends for safety, protection and comfort. Grandpa was a Marine, other grandpas were Army, aunt was Coast Guard, uncles were Navy and Air Force, cousin is a Marine and have many other friends spread through out the military. I know and appreciate the sacrifice they and their families make. God bless America and her Troops!!!
