How do you make friends?

This is something I've always struggled withal, I'm not especially pretty or sociallly adept, so people don't really approach me or talk to me, even on the internet. It's almost people can see me even though I'm invisible to them

@Ramrod Like i have talked to some people on SW,but nothing on a regular basis,no really close friends.
