How do you cheer people up?

I appreciate them, I listen to what they have to say, and I make a decent cup of tea!

I make faces at them. Well the close ones.
And then depending on how gloomy they are, I'd pick some activity to do with them.
Or if they just want to talk, I can listen.
Whatever it takes really.

By washing them in Tide?!?
