How do you make friends??

I havent had a good close female friend since i was in high school..how does a middle aged woman or man find good friends??

Oh just be sweet ... and thoughtful , go out of your way to help if needed . Always be positive and upbeat . Those things make me happy, I'm sure it does everyone else too
