Is it necessary to fight?

Other people tell me that my best friends and I are not real friends because we have never been in a fight with each other.

That's a foolish assumption on their part. Just because there's been no conflict doesn't mean that you're not friends. It doesn't even mean you've never disagreed. Not all differences of opinion have to result in a fight.
