Isn't it interesting how easy people discard others without finding out facts?

Technology has enabled others to view people as disposable versus human beings with feelings who should communicate to save friendships etc. How uncaring we have become to hit either the words block or delete when we just don't want to deal. It's a shame our society has been reduced to being so insensitive.

Isn't that how we choose our real life friendships? We don't have the ability to block or delete people but don't we choose not to associate with those people that are offensive to us or those who we consider rude?

@SimplyTracie: I don't think that is necessarily true. If people communicated more on a face to face level, they may find out that they misinterpreted what was said or even body language. Sometimes technology does not lend itself towards reading these signs because it's too easy to hit block or delete. Face to face often gives people an opportunity to determine what may or may not be happening. Seek first to understand and then ask to be understood. :)

@OWise1: That's true Mr Covey. Unfortunately, many people come here so infrequently that they don't want or need the drama. But it is sad.

@SimplyTracie: Very sad. :( There are a few people out there who don't hit block or delete though as a knee jerk reaction. Sometimes people we perceive as being jerks or yuck are really just people who are crying for help or who are having a tough time with whatever, albeit loneliness, personal problems or heartache.

@OWise1: Ahhh, but does a persons personal issues give them an excuse to be a jerk?

I real life, I would call a friend and tell them I'm having a shitty day so they understand my bitchiness. 😂

@SimplyTracie: Real life or virtual life, people who genuinely care and have nothing to hide would be glad to know your true feelings. That's the problem with the web...it lends itself to too much deceit, as the screen is the veil behind which many hide.

@OWise1: That's the negative side of anonymity I guess

@SimplyTracie: So true...people just don't seem to know how to be open, honest and true to themselves first so they can be true to others...too much insecurity going on and that overused phrase of people trying to find themselves. Instead of being their funky weird selves, people try to fit in or copy others as they don't want to be rejected. It's sad, because if more people were who they genuinely are, perhaps our world would have less conflict, less strife and be a better place? Who knows?
