Ever wonder why you have a phone sometimes?

I have several hundred friends but like four in the current state I live in. And if I'm not working, for the most part, I don't get texts or calls. What's the point of having a phone if your friends never ever text you unless you text them. I get it everyone has their own lives, I don't need to be notified every minute that's why I hate twitter. But it would be nice to hear from someone at least. Other than work...
