Who else doesnt keep friends too close?

Many people claim me as their best friend. I get it is because im easy and i give everyone a good feeling once we meet and interact. Infact, people i meet through friends turn out to be fond of me than they are with the friend. Problem is i will not keep in touch with anyone and even though they may follow up through message or calls i will not allow myself to get connected emotionally to anyone. Doesnt matter if they had good intention. I prefer to talk when we meet but beyond that i dont commit to any form of bonding. I fear connections of any sort.

It always surprise me when they express that I am the one of those friends of their,who they always trust. I trusted them too but I don't have list of such friends. To me, they all are same to me. I don't feel any one is less or more to me.

yes thats the exact feeling i have. They may claim me as their best but if someone asked me who among them is my best, i wouldnt be confident enough to point one
