I just joined the site but am noticing not many people have a picture of themself as their avi. Is it a mistake to do this?

Besides I'm getting a lot of weird responses to mine.

a lot of creepy guys are on this site.. people try to stay anonymous to keep away from them.

But then you get the people who constantly ask for a picture. If I have a profile pic then I can just direct them to that.
