It's hardly comparable, it was merely made to be over the top, it's not like The Room were Wiseau was convinced he's making an Oscar drama.

I like how Tommy acted like he didn't understand most of his own lines he wrote. :p
But Tommy's new stuff after was mean't as over the top and to not be taken seriously; his whole gameplay series where he's abducted by an alien he pronounced as Arien, and plays pretty terribly for a few minutes.
