What and who is a friend?

There is a huge difference between a friend and an acquaintance, and i believe, only a time tested connection which has survived up and downs of the grind should be called friend!

I friend is there when times get bad.

A shoulder to cry on.

But also a joy when things are good.

You can share things with a friend.

A friend knows when to step back.

@peterlee i think one thing we forget some time with friendship.Is that a friend in my opinion should also be like a mirror and we can see our self in them.A good or bad, a friend should always be the one who strive us to be a better person. Anyone who just sugarcoats and boost our ego.So that we never improved, how can you consider them a friend.
