It's annoys me that my best friend gets angry for things I consider not important

She sends me pics, and I'm like '' Ew you look like an ugly bitxh '', and then she gets angry. Like, of course I don't find you ugly at all, the purpose of the pic was to be ugly in the first place. And she's my best friend, were she a regular friend i'd write ' lol, funny ', that's all. And she knows it, then why getting angry about it ? I don't get angry when she says the same to me, I actually find it rather funny.

She might have to grow it up, give her time. And some people can't take that approach since they are insecure it affects them in a way to make them believe they actually are ugly and such... My girlfriend was like that as well and when I noticed she cannot handle that I quitted making fun of her or mocking her.

How she sees herself ? Euhm... She's a bit self conscious, and maybe lacks a bit of confidence. But well... We're 16/17 years old, so who doesn't ?

Fairplay ! I just wondered if she seeks out her friend for re-assuring noises when she doesn't feel so confident in her choices.
If that IS the case, it must be exhausting for you, forever having to try and re-assure her.
