How do you feel about your friend(s) talking to people who have bullied/isolated you?

I understand that at work you have no choice but to be diplomatic.
...but like... I walk in today and my only friend is talking to the girl who has successfully almost isolated me. I got very uncomfortable so I didn't stop to say hi. But my friend didn't stop the conversation to greet me either.

This, versus when I'm speaking to one of this bully's friends and this bully walks in, her friends will even cut me off to greet her and start their own conversation.

I'm thinking maybe I should distance myself from my one and only remaining friend as well. It's the tiniest things that bother me. Because the bully used these tiny methods to begin with, taking everyone's attention, cutting me off, pretending I don't exist, etc.

You should talk to your friend and others normally. More you distance yourself from rest, more difficult things will become for you. Coz then people will only listen to those who are purposely hurting you but not you. 馃檪

@SW-User But why did my friend not stop the conversation to greet me?

@assemblingaknob well I don't know. Probably she thinks you're close to her and formalities aren't required as you two can talk later. Still, at workplace, don't expect to have a bestie and do talk to people instead of distancing yourself.

Why would you give even more play ground to this bully? Who ever this friend of your, stay friended with him/her.

Bullies enjoy when their victims retreat.

@Reflection2 Isn't it my friend who's facilitating them?

@assemblingaknob Some people are navie to sense the sensitive of matters around. If he is a guy, than I guess,it's his pleasure to be around women. You are already providing him and he wants more from others too.
