@JustGoneNow yeah, also I donated too much to help have a funeral for two people I consider close friends. Then to get this news a few days later. I'm happy but also worried because idk why they chose such an expensive place. Especially during a time like this.

I fucking hate when friends or family decides to have a wedding in some far off place for " shits and giggles" then invites me expecting me to come. This marriage shit has become the acme of self indulgent pagenrry.

Years ago I made a personal rule and told everyone. I will not go to anymore weddings. Between the absurd travel, the tux, the hotel, the gifts, etc. You're out over a grand on top of using time off being taken from you for your own rec and use and out a paycheck from kissed work. Some still invite me and get pissy when I say no but I can't afford all these weddings and when you pick and choose which to go to the people you miss get offended.

It's an absolutely ridiculous expectation and pracric. These desitination wedings and bachelor parties.

@JustGoneNow It's also worth noting. Weddings arek't fun. They're a tiresome chore to be involved in and it's mostly standing around a shit tone of strangers and feeling awkward.
