How do you make a close friend as an adult?

It seems to be getting more difficult as you become an adult.

Oh I just be myself. Making friends is something I have never had an issue with as an adult

I seems like I always did. I have difficult time initiating but if they talk to me once, I can always carry the conversation. I would really like to have a good friend anywhere.
