How do you make a close friend as an adult?

It seems to be getting more difficult as you become an adult.

There's no such thing as friendship, its something you learn as you grow adult. that's why it's waste to think of making friends

What do you mean there's no such thing as friendship? I've had the same friends for years, and have been going to his house every single weekend since I was five, now I'm eighteen and still his best friend.
