Should I just stop asserting myself into conversations?

I have a habit of negative complaining about pretty much everything. I give my opinion on everything when I know I shouldn't. Almost all of my conversations with my friends, family, and co-workers are the same negative conversations that involves me talking about myself most of the time. When anyone talks about themselves to me I listen, but don't relate with them or don't show appropriate empathy. I use a lot of sarcasm and humor that's just in the form of negative complaining. I'm pretty much a textbook sociopath and the worse part is that it feels so deep rooted that I can't change this habit. Should I just shut myself off and just shut my fat mouth?

Yes/Yes. I do this too. It is miserable for others, I assure you.
You are aware that you have a habit of negative complaining about pretty much everything. You have concerns over this. Why not just practice doing the opposite? Places like this are good for that.
