12 hr text backs?..

Would you ask a person why they take so long to respond, or should I just cut them off?

I've been having this acquaintance for over a yr now. I've tried to make friends but how can I get around to asking you to hang out if you text every couple of hours?

I stopped contacting her for a while. Bit every now and then she'll send a weird " hey, just checking in text".

What's the point of that if you aren't gonna actually check in, see how a person is doing etc...?

I'm pretty sure she can text at work.
I want to ask " can you not text at work"? But I don't want to sound pushy. Just trying to either make a friend or drop her ass💁‍♀️

(I know where she works and what she does for work.)
